The Skill We’re Slowly Losing

My friend recently told me that her 19-year-old daughter does not like communicating with customers on the phone. She despises it. She’d rather be doing cardio at 4am.

That is also one thing kids and older adults have in common. They both value quality time. Sitting together, having a conversation, listening, or just being there.

The Trendsetter

He was the trendsetter. The original influencer. The bold one who locked me in before the rest caught on.

Through a wide-eyed view of experiences and interactions, you may see how small you actually are.

Why is she telling me this?

I did, however, enjoy meeting different people of different backgrounds. None resembled the character out of the story book that I placed them in.

Classmates become lunch buddies, best friends, and even people we visit, making our social lives bigger and bringing in new people all the time.

Simple pleasures

Some of the most powerful gestures have no monetary value; they cost little to nothing but mean everything.

Dimensional

They may still be learning, and they may be a “work in progress.” However, mothers are people too.
